Security Network

Black Church Food Security Network (BCFSN) is working to create Black-led food systems anchored by Black churches in partnership with Black farmers. Rooted in the principles of Black food and land sovereignty, they utilize an asset-based community development model that leverages and maximizes the existing resources of the Black Church community.

Approaching a growth phase BCFSN leadership wanted to develop hiring strategies, practices, and tools to recruit and onboard exceptional team members.

What We Did:

• Implement an applicant tracking system

• Designed values-aligned interview processes

• Creation of values-aligned job descriptions

• Position recruitment

• Interview plans and candidate scorecards

• Onboarding practices
